Consumers are being confronted with confusing information regarding the herbicide “glyphosate”. In response to this increasing public interest, BESTMALZ® once again reconfirms its quality guarantee: There are no scientifically detectable traces of glyphosate in any of the barley, wheat or spelt grains used by BESTMALZ® or in the water used in our malting process.
Consequently, BESTMALZ® malts do not contain glyphosate, a fact which is regularly tested and confirmed in laboratory analyses of all our malt types from all crops processed by us. Specifically, none of the randomly selected grain samples taken from BESTMALZ® malt varieties from the crops 2017 and 2018 showed any traces of glyphosate when analyzed by the most reputed German food testing institutions.
